This month we were thrilled to announce the global ‘Edible Woman’ book club. People from around the world read the book and posted on our Instagram account. We then had a Q & A event (check it out link in pink) with Margaret Atwood answering your questions.

A Limited Series based on the novel by Margaret Atwood

Written for television by Eve Hedderwick – Turner

When a young woman in 1960s Toronto develops a mysterious inability to eat, her psychological rebellion against the roles imposed upon her sets in motion a chain of events that echoes across generations. Decades later, a woman in London uncovers long-buried family secrets that connect their lives, forcing both women to confront the identities they have inherited—and the ones they must choose for themselves.

First published in 1969, The Edible Woman announced the arrival of one of the world's most influential literary voices. Both a biting satire and a psychological exploration of identity, the novel remains strikingly contemporary, with themes of gender, autonomy, consumerism, and selfhood that resonate as powerfully today as they did more than fifty years ago.
